The TRIDEC consortium is a well-balanced combination of leading European research centres, highly innovative tertiary education institutions, leading edge industry partners, and progressive public authorities. The composition of the consortium delivers the comprehensive expertise to develop a new generation of intelligent information management and the ability to apply and validate the developed systems in fields with a high economical, scientific and political significance.
Subsurface development and operational drilling management as well as natural crisis management and tsunami early warning both constitute very complex and challenging environments. First of all it is very important to have a profound understanding of the geological and physical processes relevant for this environment, as well as a close and direct integration to the activities in this domain. Additionally, the preparation of test beds incl. the access to legacy systems and data generated by public national agencies requires a very well established position in the respective community.
